The Takeover
Come join us as we takeover the church for an awesome youth-themed night-of-fun! The Takeover is our Jr High exclusive event designed to be a fun, community driven night full of games, free food, worship, inspiring talks & opportunities to hang out, meet new people, and have some fun!
The Takeover takes place on Fridays from 7:00 - 9:30 pm @ Gateway Alliance Church, and are exclusively open to all Jr High (gr. 6-9) youth.

Encounter Worship Nights
There is something powerful that happens when you encounter God - and that's what these Encounter Worship Nights are designed to do. Once every two months, we bring in a phenomenal worship band, a talented speaker, and we invite a bunch of other youth ministries to join us for a night of worship designed to help youth & young adults discover who they were created to be, how loved they truly are, and to help them walk out their faith in Christ

Arcade Games Nights
Once every two months, we flip our regular programming, invite other churches to join us, and throw a party! Arcade Games Nights are our game-to-end-all-games event nights where we throw away the rulebook, pick up an awesome prize for you to win and turn an ordinary game into an over-the-top story-driven and epicly-fun event. To top it all off, we bring in a fantastic worship team & speaker to bring us into an encounter with God.

Be Who You Are
Find a group of friends who you can laugh, learn, and be yourself with. By joining us at one of our Sr High events, you will be welcomed into an environment where you will be loved, make life-long friendships, encounter God, and be exactly who you were created to be.
These events are exclusively open to all youth grades 9-12.

Our Wednesday House Parties are an excellent opportunity to hang out with other youth your age outside of a Friday. These House Parties are exclusive to Sr High youth, and are built to be a fun, welcoming environment where you can expect to be loved, to grow, to build new friendships, and to have opportunities to encounter God.

FRIDAY NIGHT HANGOUTS
Our Friday Hangouts are our new Sr High initiative that are exclusively available to youth grades 9-12. During our Jr High Takeover events, all Sr High youth will be invited to join us in Classroom 2 for a fun, chill evening involving games, sports, new friendships, worship, discussions and opportunities to encounter God.

Encounter Weekend
Encounter Weekend is a weekend youth experience for students from across Alberta. This event exists to create an atmosphere where students of all ages can connect with one another, worship together, and encounter God in incredible ways through incredible worship, the creative application of the Word, prophetic ministry and healing.
This event is an overnight event in which XLR8 students will be spending the night at Gateway.
